A graduate from Texas State University, Ray has been passionate about upholstery since he was a teenager. Trained in Dallas, he won several awards for his upholstery and worked in the Sanger Harris Department Store upholstery workshop before joining the Air Force in 1986.

To further fuel his passion, Ray has always been a classic car and lowrider enthusiast. In fact, his brothers founded The Dallas Lowriders Car Club in Dallas, Texas. Surrounded by cars with amazing interiors and exteriors his whole life, Ray easily transferred his upholstery skills from furniture to car interiors. 

Ray's military experience, his subsequent career in telecommunications, and his other entrepreneurial venture Mata's Bouncing Buddies, LLC have instilled in him a drive to pursue excellence and customer satisfaction. Each project he undertakes receives his personal care and attention to detail.
